connecting to a wireless network

On a PC running Windows:

  • By the clock in the lower right hand corner of the screen, locate the icon for the wireless network connection.  (On most computers, this looks like a computer monitor with radio waves coming out of the side.)

  • Once you find this, right click on it and choose View Available Wireless Networks.  This will show a list of available networks.

  • Select the network for your firm and then click Connect in the lower right.  This will then ask for the wireless password, which is 11223344556677881122334455.  You will have to put this in once and then confirm it by typing it in again.

  • After doing that, click the OK button to continue and then you should be connected.

On a Mac:

  • Locate the Airport icon at the top right corner of the screen near the clock.

  • Click on this and make sure the Airport is turned On for this computer.

  • After turning on the Airport, the computer should come up and say that it has found a wireless network available and ask if you want to connect to it.

  • If so, click OK or continue, then it will prompt you for the password.  Here again, type in 11223344556677881122334455 and if asked for the kind of password, choose WEP.

  • You should now be connected to the internet.
